Pantomime in Lockdown

If you’re stuck at home in lockdown, chances are you’re in need of a laugh. Something to bring cheer to the whole family. Pantomime is capable of doing just that. So here’s some links to some of the ways you can enjoy pantomime online!

Jack and the Beanstalk (ITV)

Here’s one of the best filmed pantomimes available: Jack and the Beanstalk. Originally released by ITV in the noughties it features an all star cast including Julie Walters, Julian Clarey, Paul Merton, Ade Edmondson, Denise Van Outen, Neil Morrissey, and Griff Rhys Jones.

Cinderella (Yeovil Octagon 1993/4)

Starring a young Paul Zerdin as Buttons, this regional production of Cinderella is available to view on Youtube. It’s a fairly dated production but there’s plenty to enjoy!

Paul O’Grady’s Christmas Pantomime

There’s a few of these around from the Paul O’Grady show. Here’s a link to the last ever one. There’s lots of celebrities to spot and fun to be had.

More pantomime online

If you want to find more brilliant pantomime content online, you can find the full versions of ITV’s Dick Whittington, Aladdin and Cinderella – all with all-star casts for you to enjoy.
