Robin Hood Pantomime Script

Synopsis

In this Robin Hood pantomime script, his band of Merry Misfits create a laugh-out-loud panto that hits the bullseye! Back from the crusades, Robin returns to Sherwood to find Nottingham in chaos. The cost of living is sky-high, the Sheriff is greedier than ever, and Maid Marion is leading a rebellion with more fight than Friar Tuck after a bottle of communion wine.

Throw in a magical forest fairy, a haunted castle bedroom, and the hilarious panto dame Mother Hood, you’ve got a full-blown medieval mayhem-fest. Will Guy of Gisbourne get anything right? Will the Sheriff survive Mother Hood nannying his niece and nephew? Will Robin and Marion save the day, or at least the Goose Fair?

Packed with puns, slapstick, and pantomime routines, Robin Hood brings Sherwood Forest to glorious, giggling life. A heroic adventure for all ages—full of heart, hilarity, and a lot of tights.

Robin Hood Pantomime Script Extract

SHERIFF You must be our new nanny.

MOTHER H. Sheriff! That’s right. My name’s Mother Hood but you can call me Mother.

SHERIFF How was your journey?

MOTHER H. Not bad. Nearly got stuck on the train in some dreadful dark depressing place.

SHERIFF *Nearby town*?

MOTHER H. Worse. *Other nearby town*.

Sound Evil sting

(They both shudder.)

SHERIFF Have you got qualifications?

MOTHER H. No, I always walk like that.

SHERIFF Can I see your credentials?

MOTHER H. Only if you take me out for dinner first.

SHERIFF What kind of experience do you have that makes you the right fit for this role?

MOTHER H. Well I first became a nanny when I looked after my brothers children.

SHERIFF What were their names?

MOTHER H. Let me see, there was two of them. Denise.

SHERIFF Denise?

MOTHER H. Denise and D’nephew.

SHERIFF And since then?

MOTHER H. I’ve been the royal nanny for a while now. I’ve cradled King Richard, I’ve burped prince John and I’ve got a bit too close to Prince Andrew truth be known.

SHERIFF I see. That should be sufficient. Well this is Billie, and this is Jack.

(The SHERIFF OF NOTTINGHAM pushes the children towards MOTHER HOOD.)
