Wrap up warm for The Snow Queen, a breathtaking pantomime adventure set in a magical winter kingdom where a queen’s frozen heart threatens to bury the whole land in snow! When a shard from a wicked mirror lodges in Princess Ella’s eye, her warm heart begins to turn to ice, and only her loyal sister Anne can save her.

With the loveable Frosty the snowman, the accident-prone royal mail man Klaus, and his enthusiastic reindeer Rudolf along for the ride, there’s warmth, laughter, and chaos at every turn. Royal nursemaid and pantomime dame Penny Cillin keeps the audience in stitches. While the scheming Jack Frost and the insufferable Baron Wasteland plot their villainous takeover.

Packed with stunning songs, slapstick fun, and a heartwarming story about the power of love and sisterhood, this is the most magical pantomime of the season. Don’t let it leave you cold!

The Snow Queen Pantomime Script Extract

PENNY indicates off stage. KLAUS exits, picks up a ladder and re-enters carrying it. RUDOLF is bent double picking up the last few boxes. KLAUS walks past him and as RUDOLF stands upright, KLAUS turns around and whacks him with the back end of the ladder.

SFX Ladder smack

RUDOLF Ouch!

RUDOLF gets up and brushes himself down.

KLAUS Sorry, Rudolf!

KLAUS turns around to check RUDOLF is okay and hits him with the other end of the ladder.

SFX Ladder smack

RUDOLF Ouch!

PENNY Klaus! Will you put that down before you do any more damage.

RUDOLF gets up and brushes himself down.

KLAUS Right you are, Mum.

KLAUS turns around to exit the way he came and hits RUDOLF a final time with the back end of the ladder.

SFX Ladder smack

RUDOLF Ouch!

KLAUS ditches the ladder in the wings.

PENNY What am I going to do with you two? You’re about as much use as two chocolate teapots.

KLAUS Let me put it right Mum. Give me something that matches my skillset.

PENNY Your skillset?

PENNY thinks. Hard.

KLAUS There must be something you can think of.

PENNY There is something but it’s a bit delicate for you, love. Rudolf, are you up to the task?

RUDOLF Whatever you need, Penny.

PENNY I spent ages baking a coronation cake. I need that to be delivered to the banquet table.

KLAUS Delivering! That’s something I can help with.

PENNY Are you sure, love? I spent ages getting that cake just right. It’s delicate cargo. Like me. (Aside) Isn’t that right, *Boyfriend*.

KLAUS Trust me.

PENNY What could possibly go wrong?

KLAUS and RUDOLF pick up the cake from the wing, and carry it carefully between them. It is a decedent fondant cake with plenty of gloopy icing on top, decorated with strawberries.

KLAUS See. I told you it would be fine.

PENNY Concentrate, love.

KLAUS I am concentrating.

PENNY No you’re not, you’re talking to me.

KLAUS You’re putting me off!

PENNY Watch what you’re doing.

KLAUS Mum.

PENNY Careful where you’re putting your feet.

KLAUS Stop distracting me.

BARON WASTELAND enters, he stands in KLAUS and RUDOLF’s pathway, unseen by KLAUS.

PENNY Watch out!

They walk directly into BARONE WASTELAND, and the momentum results in the cake ending up in KLAUS’ face.

SFX Cake Splatter

BARON You ought to watch where you’re going young man.
