2024 (Re)introduction to Alex Jackson Pantomimes

Greetings from Pantoland. I’m fresh from directing Dick Whittington at Exeter Northcott Theatre, and I’m looking ahead to the 2024 season.

And I guess you are looking ahead too. So I’ve written this to (re)introduce myself.

I’m Alex. A writer, director and graphic designer. And I’m passionate about pantomime.

So passionate, that I’m a founding trustee of the UK Pantomime Association who produce the annual Pantomime Awards recognising excellence in professional pantomimes.

I license dozens of pantomime scripts internationally every year. As far afield as Singapore, Australia, Canada, South Africa and New Zealand.

I have 14 pantomime titles ready for you to read and enjoy.

Plus new scripts on the way and bespoke commissions open. So if you’d like to premiere a bespoke Goldilocks and the Three BearsTreasure IslandPinocchioMother Goose or another title of your choice, get in touch.

When you choose your script, I’m here to help advise on customisations, local jokes and production hurdles.

Plus there’s tonnes of help and advice on my blog covering a range of trials and tribulations.

After your performances I love to hear how the show went, look at production pictures and videos.

I keep in touch with many groups year in year out. I care about your show’s success, and I celebrate your achievements.

Don’t take my word for it. Here’s what some of the 2023 season producers had to say:

★★★★★ “A fantastic script and easy to organise license. Alex was very approachable and helpful.”

(Diana Freedman’s School of Dance on Peter Pan)

★★★★★ “The characters, comedy and scenes are written so well that it makes it easy to produce and direct.”

(New College Swindon on Cinderella)

★★★★★ “Hilariously funny! The audience were highly entertained.”

(Tarbolton Primary School on Jack and the Beanstalk)

★★★★★ “I have asked to read more to find the perfect story because I know his scripts are the perfect…

(Clacton Musical Productions on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
